A Hornchurch mum is warning parents to be vigilant after finding a woman standing next to her three year old daughter whilst out shopping. Lisa who shops at Tesco on the Airfield estate in Hornchurch was shopping yesterday when she noticed the strange behaviour of a woman.

She told the Havering Daily: “My daughter and I were walking towards the front entrance of Tesco holding hands and I noticed a lady walking towards us staring at my little girl.

“I didn’t pay much attention to her and turned to get a trolley, as I started to turn back I noticed the lady was now right in front of me just staring at us, I pulled the trolley out and put it between us and the lady, keeping my daughter on the far side and walked into Tesco, I looked back and the lady was now walking away.

“As I entered the store a staff member took the trolley to wipe it and I noticed the lady was now standing right behind my daughter so I picked up my little girl up and told the staff member that this woman was up to something. She was still standing there staring at my daughter.

“The staff member in Tesco then asked the lady if she was okay and if she needed any help and she replied with “I don’t speak English, I’m Romanian” and still stood there staring for a few minutes before walking off across the store. The staff followed her but she walked to the front of all the tills and out the far door.”

Lisa was very shaken up after the incident and reported it to the police.

She continued: “I know she didn’t actually do anything but her intentions seemed pretty clear to me. It left me very scared. Luckily I pushed the trolley between us straight away and I never let go of my daughter’s hand when we are out.”

The woman is described as being in her 30’s.

It’s this sort of rumor mongering that incites racism, bigotry and xenophobia in our community. This is not a story, it’s a complete non-event.

What the hell is this racist garbage? A ‘Romanian’ woman looked at a white British woman in a shop. Didn’t threaten her. Harm her. Harm her child. Just existed and perhaps needed some help. And this we must be VIGILANT about? I hope none of you worrying about this consider yourself Christian, as Christ would have never condoned this type of bigotry. Shame on you.
