Covid 19 cases rise in Havering.

Cases of Covid 19 have been rising in the borough. Two weeks ago the Council launched their campaign ‘Doing my bit’ urging residents to please follow the guidelines issued by the Government.

Mark Ansell Director of Public Health at Havering Council, told the Havering Daily: “We are seeing increasing rates of positive cases across the country, as well as in Havering.   As many of us return to a more normal way of life, it is increasingly important we all take the right measures to protect ourselves and others.   That is why we have recently launched our public health campaign, #DoingMyBit.  It’s up to everyone to do their bit by wearing face coverings (unless exempt), social distancing, getting tested when we suspect we have symptoms, and complying with NHS Test and Trace.

“We are far from complacent about the rise in the number of infections.  We continue to monitor the situation very closely, and to remind everyone of the need to keep following the rules and help us prevent the need for any stronger action.”
