On Monday the Havering Daily ran the heartbreaking story of 21-year-old Molly from Harold Hill who is homeless and currently living in Abercrombie House with her 11-month-old son. Molly has been desperately looking for housing for her and her son and is struggling to live in the Harold Hill hostel surrounded by other residents who take drugs daily.
Following the Havering Daily story, Havering council has served final warnings on two residents who are known drug takers. Molly has also now been given help to find a place to live for herself and her young son.
A Havering Council spokesperson, said: “We will always do everything we can to support our residents. We understand this is even more important during the COVID-19 crisis.
“The Council is working with the resident to offer help and to resolve her housing issue as quickly as possible.
“We will also be serving final warnings on two residents who are known to have taken illegal drugs into the hostel.”
