Police urge residents to not host unlicensed music events.

Havering police are urging residents locally to not host unlicensed music events.

Unlicensed music events, also known as raves or block parties have increased due to factors such as lockdown and the hot weather. The police are committed to protecting the safety of their officers and tackling the anti-social behaviour and violence related to these illegal events.

Please be aware that if you have equipment at these events police will have the power to seize such equipment.

They also remind people that Covid has not gone away and by attending such events you run a much greater risk of infecting those around you or contracting the virus yourself.
