Joshua’s recipe of the day-Mussels in white wine sauce.
Our star junior chef in Havering nine-year old Joshua Puncheon from Harold Wood, today shows us how to make delicious mussels in white wine sauce.
Ingredients
1kg of Palmers Fresh Mussels
1 glass of white wine
4tbsp natural yogurt
1 white onion
4 garlic cloves
Fresh Parsley and 1 tablespoon of butter.
Mussels in white wine sauce
Step 1

Keep your fresh mussels wrapped in a damp cloth in the fridge, until ready to cook. Wash them thoroughly.
Step 2

Chop the garlic.
Step 3

Chop the onion thinly.
Step 4

In a large saucepan put a tablespoon of butter and add the garlic.
Step 5

Add the onion.
Step 6

Make sure you close your eyes whilst mixing it!
Step 7

Add the clean mussels, make sure you discard any broken ones.
Step 8

Add the white wine.
Step 9

Cover and let it steam for 4 minutes.
Step 10

Add the yoghurt.
Step 11

Mix well.

Enjoy with a plate of homemade chips!
