VIDEO: Cupcakes donated to east London hospitals.

A team of Hornchurch residents have helped deliver 1500 cupcakes to east London hospitals.

Laraine Fenn is an Executive Assistant for the Colt Technology Company based in Shoreditch, east London. When sales staff reach their target cupcakes are bought in as a celebration.

Laraine told the Havering Daily: “March had been a good month and our Manager Keri Gilder was going to buy cupcakes for the team but as we were all housebound I suggested that we donate the cupcakes to local hospitals and she agreed.

“Keri is very generous and not only did she pay for 1500 cupcakes to be delivered here in east London but also donated cupcakes to all the other countries we deal with such as Spain, Italy and America.“

Laraine then looked for a company who were willing to make the cakes for her and was approached by the London Cake Company in Chingford who agreed to make the 1500 cupcakes.

“They contacted me on Tuesday and by the Sunday they had 1500 cupcakes ready for collection, they did an amazing job.”

Laraine and friends Lorriane Moss and Gary Daffin all from Hornchurch, loaded up their vehicles and spent the day delivering the cakes to all the NHS staff at the Royal London, Whipps Cross, Newham and Queen’s Hospital.
