‘Act quickly and support the self-employed’ urges Andrew Rosindell.
The Romford MP Andrew Rosindell has written to the Chancellor Rishi Sunak MP urging support for the self-employed.
The MP is worried about ‘the current lack of support’ for the self employed.
Mr Rosindell has received large amounts of correspondence from his Romford constituents who feel that the Government is not taking sufficient action to deal with this important issue.
He writes: “For many self-employed people these measures do not go nearly far enough. I urge you to consider implementing similar measures to many of the Scandinavian countries which guarantee self-employed workers a percentage of their usual earnings.
“I urge you to step up the current measures and act swiftly to support the self-employed, many of whom are very concerned about the impact this situation will have on their livelihoods.“
