Four more patients have died at Queen’s Hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.


Tony Chambers, interim Chief Executive at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust has this afternoon confirmed in a statement that four more patients have died at Queen’s Hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.

This brings the total of coronavirus deaths at Queens Hospital to 6.

The statement said:

‘We can confirm that four elderly patients, who tested positive for Covid-19 have sadly died at Queen’s Hospital.  The patients had been very unwell with significant other health conditions. 

‘Our thoughts and condolences are with the patients’ families at what is undoubtedly a very distressing time.

‘We ask that their privacy is respected.’
