Friends of Essex & London Homeless are planning their biggest challenge yet by undertaking a “Real 24hr Sleepout” with all proceeds raised going to assist with London & Essex outreaches.
As a team they are doing a 24hr “Real London Sleepout” on the 25th April 10am-26th April 10am.
Steven Stuart, co-founder CEO & Trustee told the Havering Daily:
“5 volunteers are sleeping out for 24hrs without any razzmatazz or publicity just 24hrs with a sleeping bag and what they are standing in. There will be a 24hr support team some 100 meters away on hand, who will be engaging with the public that pass by and aim to see if they can explain who and what we are and what we are doing on the 24hrs this hopefully creating more awareness for our homeless friends and also to give us some much-needed feedback on public perception and thoughts which we can use going forward and possibly look to see if we gain some donations to assist with our growth.
“We are also looking for all of our wonderful followers to see if you would be so kind as to dig deep and offer to support us with a donation. So please if you could help us reach our target or even better overachieve this would be gratefully received and will ensure we can keep making a difference to those less fortunate than ourselves.
“We have set ourselves a 5k target but of course we would love to smash through this and reach for the moon and stars and this could all be possible with the help of the above helping us to continue making a difference.“
Please see below methods of making any donations and if you are a business who wants to sponsor the event our contact details are also below.
