EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Secretary of State announces extra cash for Havering.

Today the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government has announced extra funding for Havering Council that has allowed them to relax their car parking charges and introduce free Sunday parking as from 1st April.

Havering’s Leader of the Council, Councillor Damian White told the Havering Daily: “We are absolutely delighted to make this investment thanks to the extra funding without having to reduce frontline services.

“Thank you to Andrew Rosindell for all his hard work in making this happen.”

Romford MP Andrew Rosindell said: “I am very pleased that thanks to our Conservative Government we have been able to introduce our new parking measures for Havering residents that will allow them free Sunday parking starting in April and 30 minutes free in more than 1,000 on-street pay and display bays.”
