Whilst it is very easy to express a concern about the ‘addition of more tower blocks’ which is a very emotive subject and frankly is not what the Masterplan is about. It is actually designed to help us shape and balance development alongside the preservation of Romford’s unique character and history.
With a population increase believed to be over 20,000 in the last five years, the masterplan estimates a further increase of 25,000 by 2041 and as such has to build to to accommodate.
