Latest Gallows Corner Photos Prompt the Same Question From Residents: ‘Will It Ever End?’
Here we go again…
Here are the latest photographs from Peter Barrett of Gallows Corner, taken yesterday, and once again there isn’t a worker visible above ground.
We understand that work is continuing below the surface, with engineers carrying out repairs within the underground pipe network. However, for the thousands of motorists and residents who pass through the junction each day, the view from the road looks much the same.
Barriers remain in place, traffic continues to build and, from the surface, there is little visible evidence that the project is moving closer to completion.
The question many frustrated locals are now asking is: Will it ever end?
After months of delays and disruption, residents say they are simply longing for the day when Gallows Corner is fully reopened and life can return to normal.
Until then, these latest images are likely to fuel the growing tongue-in-cheek nickname many residents have given the scheme…

Lack of resources and supervision has been an ongoing concern , TFL/ESW stated they were working 24/7 the only people who were working 24/7 were the delivery team and site security. I have personally witnessed the work force (when they are there) walking aimlessly around the site , sitting around , sitting in work vehicles , chatting on there mobiles and at Mc Donald’s , Kentucky and Tesco’s . maybe TFL /ESW should provide a proper schedule of work and report daily with pictures what progress they are actually making along with the work hours claimed
