Soul, Friendship and Generosity At The Crumpled Horn Raises Over £2,000 for Saint Francis Hospice

An incredible day of music, dancing and community spirit has raised more than £2,000 for Saint Francis Hospice.

Supporters gathered at the Crumpled Horn in Upminster for a special Soul All-Dayer, combining a love of soul music with fundraising for a cause close to many hearts.

By the end of the event, an impressive £2,078.88 had been raised for Saint Francis Hospice, a charity that provides vital care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across Havering, Brentwood, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge and surrounding areas.

Organisers described the achievement as remarkable, particularly as it was accomplished during a day filled with dancing, laughter, friendship and a shared sense of community.

“To raise such a huge amount whilst having an awesome day of dance, laughs and friendship is staggering,” organisers said.

The success of the event was made possible through the hard work and dedication of the team behind Soul Nights Out In Essex, led by organiser Mark Hughes, who brought together music lovers from across the region for a day that was as uplifting as it was charitable.

Special thanks were also paid to the DJs who generously donated their time and talent, performing free of charge throughout the event and helping to create the fantastic atmosphere that kept people on the dancefloor all day long.

Most importantly, organiser Russ thanked everyone who attended, donated and supported the fundraiser.

“This would not have been possible without the team at Soul Nights Out In Essex, the organisation of Mark Hughes, all the DJs who performed for free and everyone who joined us. Thank you.”

The event once again demonstrated the power of community spirit in Havering, where local people continue to come together to support important causes while enjoying the things they love.

The final message from organisers summed up the day perfectly:

“One Love | One Community.”
