Police Carry Out Extensive Investigation Following Reports of a Sexual Assault in Upminster Park.
Victim describes suspect as British white male, ginger hair and aged in his 40s.
Police are continuing to carry out urgent enquiries following a report of sexual assault in Upminster.
Officers attended Parklands Open Space, near Corbets Tey Road, with the London Ambulance Service around 03:20am on Friday, 17 April. A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital as a precaution, and has since been discharged.
She is being supported by specially trained officers.
No arrests have been made at this time, as a extensive investigation continues.
The victim has described the suspect as a white British male, aged around 40, with ginger hair and wearing a red coat.
Police are aware of speculation online, and urge the public not to spread unverified or misleading information, which can cause distress and may hinder enquiries.
