If you’ve ever wanted to get into running, improve your fitness, or meet like-minded people, Havering’s H90 Joggers (H90J) is the club for you. Open to adults aged 18 and over, H90J welcomes runners of all abilities, from complete beginners learning to run, to those who want to jog, chat, and stay healthy, and even to seasoned runners training for specific distances.

The club meets every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7.30pm at Upminster Rugby Club, Two Gables, Hall Lane, Upminster. In addition, H90J hosts a Sunday Social Run, starting at 9am from a different park or venue in Havering each week, giving runners a chance to explore the borough while enjoying a friendly, supportive atmosphere.

For those starting from scratch or returning to running, H90J’s Learn-to-Run (Couch to 5k) coached 10-week course is ideal. Restarting on 3rd February, the programme is based on the NHS Couch to 5k format and gradually builds running confidence and ability through two instructor-led sessions a week. The ultimate goal? To run 5km (3.1 miles) non-stop at the local parkrun in Harrow Lodge Park, cheered on by fellow club members.

The course is free for all H90J members, with the only cost being the club’s annual membership fee of £52. This covers registration with England Athletics and club membership for the rest of the year.

H90J prides itself on its friendly and supportive environment, making it perfect for beginners and those returning to the sport. It’s more than a running club, t’s a community.

For more information or to join the course, visit www.h90j.org.uk or email headcoach@h90j.org.uk.
