The Member of Parliament for Romford-Andrew Rosindell MP, has released a statement in regards to the ‘corridor care’ at Queen’s hospital in Romford.

“Patients regularly being cared for in corridors is a damning indictment of infrastructure at Queen’s Hospital and its Accident and Emergency Department.

The facilities were built to accommodate a maximum of 300 patients per day, but now regularly see over double that figure.

As hard-working doctors and nurses do their very best to serve the increasing need of a growing local population of 800,000 people, the urgent need for enhanced facilities becomes even more apparent. It is unacceptable that dedicated staff and vulnerable patients must operate in such conditions.

This is why I have consistently championed a new Accident and Emergency Department at Queen’s Hospital, working with the NHS Trust Chief Executive, Matthew Trainer, who is doing the best he can under almost impossible circumstance. We need a modern, fit-for-purpose facility that matches the needs of the local community, and we have both pleaded with the government to step in and get the funding we need in Romford.

I have met with and spoken to Government Ministers responsible and have made repeated interventions in the House of Commons pressing for the Secretary of State for Health, Wes Streeting, to make the necessary investment that upgrade the facilities and put an end once and for all to the scourge of corridor care.

I spoke to Wes only last week and appealed to him to help and allocate the funding we so desperately require at Queen’s Hospital. His constituents from Redbridge are affected, as well as mine in Romford and Havering, so he really should make this a priority for 2026.

I will keep speaking up for local patients, doctors, and nurses, calling for the investment that Queen’s Hospital requires as a matter of urgency. I urge the government to listen to local voices because Queen’s Hospital can wait no longer.”

We just can not cope with the huge influx of people that have been allowed into this small country. They either bring children with them, or will have them at some point, putting pressure on everything from houses, schools, doctors, roads. Worse still, is that the larger proportion of them come here for a better life. Can’t blame them for that, but they are taking from the country’s kitty, not adding to it.

The indigenous people of this country are forever being made worse off to assist the huge influx of those who seek a better life. All at our expense. Shame on all politicians that have allowed this Country to sink so badly in this way and they should know it. I bet most of them wish they could turn the clock back on their blind eyes.

I had brilliant care from a lovely nurse from India who took a drop in pay to come and work at Queen’s. I suppose because Britain and our NHS, even Queen’s, are the best.
St.George’s Health Hub is amazing too.

Ms Lopez and Ms Mullane have been banging on about this for months. Mr Rosindell seems to have realised that, as the actual MP for the hospital’s location, he should maybe take an interest instead of devoting all of his efforts to flags and a group of islands in the Indian Ocean.
