58-Year-Old Armed With Knife Swiftly Arrested in Romford Town Centre.

A man armed with a knife sparked a swift police response in Romford town centre after alarmed residents raised the alert.

Police were called at 12:34hrs on Thursday 11 December to reports of a man with a knife on South Street, Romford.

Officers rushed to the scene and arrested the 58 year old on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
