A man was rushed to hospital after an unknown substance was thrown into his face in Rainham, sparking concern among local students and residents.

Police were called at 12:58 on Friday, 21 November to New Road in Rainham.

It was reported that a man sustained minor injuries to his face after a liquid was thrown. The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made in relation to this incident at this stage.
