Sport Report
Hornchurch 3 – 2 Bath City
I didn’t attend the match this week, but Hornchurch secured another victory with goals from Henry Hearn, Charlie Ruff & Darren McQueen. The winner in this game came from a Penalty scored in the 90+7 minute!
Hornchurch has dropped to 2nd in the league. They have the same points as top of the table Weston-Super-Mare, but Weston has a slightly better win record and goal difference.

Premier League round-up
Saturday:
Nottingham 0 – 3 Chelsea (UCL 5-1 win)
Another red card for the Blues, after Gusto got one too many yellow cards; however, they still won 3-0, away at The City Ground. After another disappointing loss and only 39 days at the club, Ange Postecoglou (Forest) was sacked.
Manchester City (UCL 2-0 win) 2 – 0 Everton
Haaland (City) scored two goals within 5 minutes; Grealish (Everton) couldn’t play due to the conditions of his loan move.
Burnley 2 – 0 Leeds United
Neither of these teams played in Europe, but you wouldn’t know they were both newly promoted. Both teams played well, with Burnley getting a deserved win.
Sunderland 2 – 0 Wolverhampton
Terrible, utterly terrible, Wolverhampton Wanderers, WOW! With a woeful performance, Sunderland win another one of the easy fixtures they’ve had, making up for last week.
Crystal Palace 3 – 3 Bournemouth
A game full of goals with Mateta (Palace) scoring a hat-trick, Kroupi (Bournemouth) scoring a brace, and an additional goal from Christie – what a game!
Brighton 2 – 1 Newcastle (UCL 3-0 win)
Brighton keep their fantastic record against Newcastle, with another goal against them in consecutive matches from Danny Welbeck. The Magpies did, however, pick up a comfortable win in the UCL against Benfica.
Fulham 0 – 1 Arsenal (UCL 4-0 win in the “Haramball” derby)
A scrappy Trossard goal gives Arsenal a win against their London rivals. Two other Arsenal goals didn’t count as Calafiori’s was ruled offside, and Saka’s penalty was overturned by VAR.
Tottenham (UCL 0-0) 1 – 2 Aston Villa
Villa wins despite a very early opener from Spurs. On form, Morgan Rogers scored an equaliser before E. Buendia secured a late winning goal.
Liverpool (UCL 1-5 win) 1 – 2 Manchester United
Liverpool lost embarrassingly despite a convincing performance in the UCL, after Isak and Gakpo missed some key chances.
West Ham 0 – 2 Brentford
West Ham lost 2-0 to Brentford. A late first-half goal and a late second-half goal shows West Ham cannot be resilient in key moments throughout the game.
