Havering Gets A Christmas Boost.
Havering Council has announced additional sponsorship for this year’s Christmas trees and street light decorations from FCC Environment, NC Construction Services, and Moss & Coleman Solicitors.
This generous support from FCC Environment, the Council’s waste and recycling collections partner, NC Construction Services, and Moss & Coleman, is in addition to the sponsorship already secured last month from Marlborough Highways, Elm Site Services, and AJS.
These kind gestures from local sponsors will help ensure that town centres across Havering can celebrate Christmas 2025 in style. All sponsorship funding will be topped up with Council money from the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) to help deliver Christmas cheer once again.
Councillor Ray Morgon, Leader of Havering Council, said:
“It is welcome news that we have secured further sponsorship to support Christmas in our town centres this year. My sincere thanks to co-sponsors FCC Environment and NC Construction Services for their kind contributions that will go towards the donations already secured from Marlborough Highways, Elm Site Services, and AJS.
“These contributions, together with the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy, ensure Havering can still celebrate Christmas, which we are unable to fully fund on our own due to ongoing financial pressures, reduced government funding, and rising costs in social care and homelessness.
“These difficult decisions are necessary to make vital savings, but the Council recognises the importance of maintaining festive spirit in town centres and supporting local communities and businesses during the holiday season. I know how important it is for our town centres and communities to be able to celebrate the run-up to Christmas and for our high streets to look and feel festive to encourage people to shop local this Christmas.”
Jose Sanchez, Area Manager South East UK, FCC Environment, said:
“FCC work hard every day to ensure the borough’s recycling and waste is collected and managed efficiently. We are committed to working hard for the community, so it’s lovely to be able to support the Council by contributing to festive lights and trees; we hope they will bring joy to everyone.”
Danny Stokes, Director, NC Construction Services Ltd, said:
“This Christmas, NC Construction Services are proud to sponsor the Havering Christmas festivities. We are also proud to be a local business having worked in Havering for over 20 years; our contribution reflects our core values of empathy, support, and social responsibility. At Christmas, we believe in the power of community and giving back, and we’re excited to make a positive impact together.”
Nicola Moore, Solicitor, Moss & Coleman Solicitors, said:
“Moss and Coleman is proud once again to sponsor the Christmas lights. We are a local, long-established law firm serving Hornchurch and the wider area for more than 70 years – it is important to us at times like these to make a meaningful contribution to the community that we are proud to serve. Wishing Hornchurch and the wider Havering community a Christmas that is merry and bright.”
The Council is still looking for businesses to support town centre activities.
