Dogs of the Month – Dogs Trust Basildon
There are lots of gorgeous pooches of all shapes and sizes, waiting to meet their special someone at Dogs Trust Basildon. This month, we are sharing two of the rehoming centre’s long-term lodgers, that have been overlooked for some time and are waiting for their special someone to love.
Bella
Meet Bella, a sensitive and thoughtful two-year-old Chow Chow, who is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can take her time getting to know you.

Bella can be a bit nervous, but over time, she will come out of her shell and show you her sweet and loyal side. She finds interactions with other dogs a bit confusing and would benefit from slow socialisation with calm, steady walking buddies.
This big, fluffy girl is looking for an adult-only home, where she can be the only pet, taking up all of the attention and giving her the chance to settle in at her own pace. What this pooch needs is someone experienced and understanding to help show her the ropes.
Malcolm
Are you looking for a fun, bouncy boy? Then look no further than Malcolm the Akita!

This bright, bouncy one-year-old full of energy and enthusiasm for life. He’s confident and excitable when meeting new people and thrives on attention, so he would love an owner who enjoys engaging with him and can provide plenty of physical and mental stimulation.
Malcolm is looking for a forever home where he can be the only pet (and the centre of attention), and would happily live with teenagers who are confident around lively dogs. Malcolm has buckets of energy, so wants to make sure whoever takes him home knows he will need lots of walks, activities and mental stimulation to keep this pooch happy.
If you think you can give these beautiful dogs their forever home, contact the Dogs Trust Balsildon on 0303 003 0000 (Phone lines open everyday from 8.30am to 5pm) or email info@dogstrust.org.uk

About Dogs Trust
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for around 11,000 dogs every year across its network of 21 rehoming centres in the UK and one in Dublin. Dogs Trust has a non-destruction policy and will never put a healthy dog to sleep. The charity also focuses its efforts on understanding dogs and sharing that knowledge with the wider public to prevent problem behaviours that can result in relinquishment or abandonment. We are working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
