When Will TfL Act on A1306 / Marsh Way?”

Yet again, yesterday evening, Sunday 28 September, a road traffic accident at the junction of Marsh Way and the A1306 in Rainham.

This has long been branded an accident black spot. Despite repeated warnings from residents and road users for years of promises from Transport for London (TfL) meaningful safety improvements are yet to arrive.

Crashes and near-misses continue to plague the junction, with locals calling for better traffic signals and phasing , Calls for changes go back several years, yet TfL has failed to provide a clear timetable for any  action.

Carol Baker HRA team member Beam Park told the Havering Daily: “We’ve been promised solutions time and again, How many more accidents will it take before TfL acts?”

Until firm commitments and visible works begin, Marsh Way remains a daily risk for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians alike.

Hope these involved in this accident recover from this awful incident.

You mean people think its their right of way and don’t check that the oncoming traffic they’re turning into is coming to a stop?! Lack of common sense, some lights are like that? How do these people cope with putting one foot infront of the other and not tripping themselves up?! Ridiculous. . . . But i suppose when you dont do your drivers test in this country its bound to be like this huh.
They could just change the timing on the lights and then only one way goes at a time if people are that stupid not to assess this themselves – these fools are the poster for public surveillance.
