Scallywags Nursery Celebrates National Teddy Bear Day!

Scallywags nursery in Hornchurch has celebrated National Teddy Bear Day with some fantastic activities.

The nursery has a very unique ethos which gives children the chance to learn and grow outdoors through forest school. This week, they marked ‘Teddy Bear Day’ by taking their favourite furry friends into the woods, and what an incredible adventure they had!

Highlights of the day included:
 A Teddy Zip & Zoom zipline built by the children using bungee and carabiner clips
 Swings, den-building, and cozy corners with hammocks, books, and torches
 A teddy bear picnic filled with laughter and imagination
 Games on the field like parachute play and “What’s the Time Mr Wolf?”
 Reflecting together around a mini teddy bear fire at the end of the session

The children’s imaginations ran wild, and their teddies loved every second too! It was a magical day that showcased the fun, learning, and community spirit they value so much at Scallywags.
