Havering Labour Tackle Residents Association On Anti Idling Across The Borough.
News from Havering Labour.
Following the unanimous decision by Havering Council to endorse a Labour proposal for an anti-idling campaign at the council meeting in July, St Albans Councillor Jane Keane quite reasonably asked what progress the administration had made towards this.
“Unfortunately, the Cabinet Member could only reference years-old meetings and work already being done by schools. No new proactive work has been done, which is disappointing”.
Cllr Keane has been visiting the schools in her ward to talk to parents about the health harms caused by engine idling. “Parents have been really very supportive as they bring their children in for the new school year, and every car that turns its engine off is making a difference”.
