Havering-based health champion and leading nutritionist Sharon Adkins and Clare Kelly from the Social Enterprise Happilife CIC have joined forces to deliver community wellbeing sessions through their “Soup & Social” initiative. Thanks to funding from The National Lottery, this partnership between Happilife CIC and SA Nutrition aims to bring practical, engaging health education directly into the heart of the borough in a friendly welcoming setting to community groups across Havering.

Clare and Sharon have been working in the borough for years, supporting local residents through health-based initiatives. With SA Nutrition’s expertise in workplace and online wellbeing training, and Clare’s grassroots experience in community engagement, the partnership is a perfect fit.
Today they launched their project at LB of Havering Live Well event for Community Partners hosted at Thames Chase and served soup to over 70 voluntary sector staff.

“It’s all about making wellbeing accessible,” says Sharon. “This project gives people the chance to learn new skills, make connections, and leave feeling inspired—not overwhelmed.”
