Havering Police Hold Proactive Day Of Action With Fantastic Results.

Havering Police officers held a day of action on Friday 20 June. Led by Chief Inspector Routley and Inspector Patel, the day saw 59 stop and searches carried out with arrests, runaway children returned home and a knife recovered.

The day began in Harold Hill, where officers carried out numerous stop and searches and weapons sweeps in Central Park, where a knife was recovered. Gooshays ward Councillor Paul MGeary also joined officers on Farnham Road.

From there, officers targeted Elm Park station where they were joined by drugs dogs patrolling the station entrance and exit.

The day ended with officers basing themselves outside Romford train station for the evening.

The event concluded with a total of 59 stop and searches. Two runaway children were returned home, and arrests were made including fare dodgers.

11 – Positive ( 1 x PND/6 x Community Resolutions/4 x Further investigation to be completed).

1 Arrest – wanted x2 for Robbery and theft.

2 Missing Children located and returned home.

7 x Information reports

One knife recovered

One person reported for a Traffic Offence 

One Weapon Sweep completed Central Park.

30 Penalty Fares Issued.

3 people had Irregular reports completed (fare investigations).
