Dagenham And Rainham MP Stresses Health Of Rainham Residents Is A Priority.
The Member of Parliament for Dagenham and Rainham has stressed that the health of residents in her constituency is a priority for her and she is doing everything she can to resolve the situation at Launders Lane.
Margaret told the Havering Daily:
“The pollution and damage to the health of residents in Rainham from the illegal landfill across Arnolds Field Launders Lane is an absolute priority for me. Unfortunately, I was unable to make the meeting yesterday, but I am in regular communication with Dawn Butler MP who is an advocate for Zane’s Law.
“I have recently convened a group of MPs with similar landfill pollution issues and we have reached out to the Secretary of State. In addition to this I have submitted a research proposal to the Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology to look at the impact of historic landfills on local communities.“
