Upminster Windmill Opens Its Door This Weekend

Mark your calendars for today-Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May, because Upminster Windmill is throwing open its doors from 10am–4pm as part of National Mill Weekend!

Step inside this beautifully restored landmark and take a guided tour (£6 adults, £2 kids – minimum height 100cm, and don’t forget your closed shoes!) to see the magic of a windmill up close.

There’s plenty happening on site too: on Saturday, catch the colourful “Hands Around” Mixed Morris Group dancing at 12pm and 1.30pm, bringing tradition and energy to the green. And all weekend long, the Havering Radio Club will be on hand showing off how amateur radio connects with stations across the world – a fascinating mix of old and new tech!

Entry to the site, garden, and Visitor Centre is free, so come explore, learn how the Windmill was brought back to life, and treat yourself to a cuppa and cake in the garden.
