Lumiere Romford launches baby-friendly Monday screenings for parents
From Monday 13th May, Lumiere Romford will be launching weekly baby and infant-friendly screenings – helping parents enjoy the big screen without the worry.
The community-focused cinema has announced that every Monday there will be two special screenings at 10am and 10.30am, giving parents of babies and young children the chance to catch a film in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
The initiative comes in direct response to feedback from local families. Parents with young children often find it hard to enjoy a cinema experience, but these screenings will come with softer lighting, lower volume, and importantly, subtitles – so if there are a few noisy moments, you won’t miss a thing.
Regular moviegoers needn’t worry, as these baby-friendly showings will be duplicates of existing films already scheduled – meaning Monday morning visitors won’t suddenly find themselves surrounded by toddlers.
The screenings are aimed at parents, not the children, with popular new releases taking centre stage. Lumiere says this is a way to give parents a break from the usual diet of children’s TV and movies.
Cinema Manager, Spencer, told the Havering Daily, “At Lumiere Romford, we believe that enjoying a movie should be accessible to everyone, including parents with young children. Our baby-friendly screenings are designed to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for families, allowing them to reconnect with cinema in a relaxed atmosphere.”
Lumiere Romford continues to position itself as a true community cinema, delivering on promises and providing inclusive experiences for local residents.
