On Friday, last week, Councillors Trevor McKeever and Matt Stanton joined local residents in litter picking at Mardyke Open Space. “With council budgets being so stretched, if we can all set a good example and show pride in our area, that’s invaluable”, Cllr Stanton told the Havering Daily.

On Saturday, the Councillors organised two Easter Egg Hunts for children in the area. “Next years will have to be more challenging, but the children all had fun and that’s the main thing” said Cllr Mckeever.

On Sunday the Beam Park Councillors welcomed residents, representatives from the police, and standard bearers from the Merchant Marine, to the annual ANZAC commemoration service on Dovers Farm Village Green. “We were fortunate to be joined by our MP, Margaret Mulllane, who spoke movingly about the link between Havering and the ANZACs, as well as the depth of feeling we have in this area for those who have served” said Cllr Mckeever.

Cllr Stanton then joined local residents at the Silver Hall Social Club on New Road for an Easter celebration, featuring a special guest in the form of the Easter Bunny!
