Harold Hill Salvation Army Member To Run London Marathon To Raise Much Needed Money For her Church.
A member of the Salvation Army Church in Harold Hill is all set to run the London marathon on Sunday 27 April to raise money for her church.
Elizabeth told the Havering Daily:
“Harold Hill Salvation Army is a welcoming and inclusive church that seeks to Love God and Love others by providing a Christian community and place of worship to the people of Harold Hill.
We also offer a range of practical support to meet the needs of our community, such as a warm space, coffee morning, youth groups and Food Share. To find out more about the work we do, please follow the link to our website: https://www.salvationarmy.org.uk/harold-hill
This work is made possible by the generous donations of others, so if you are able to donate, please do.”
Elizabeth has had her heart set on running the London marathon for years and added:
“This challenge has been on my bucket list for years and I am thankful for the opportunity to run, especially for such a wonderful cause. I’d love you to follow along my journey as I work towards the TCS London Marathon 2025.”
Sadly, after four consecutive break-ins to the building on Petersfield Avenue over the Christmas and New Years period, this fundraising is so important for the work the members do and for the community.
