Woman Has Substance Sprayed Into Her Eyes And Bag Stolen In Elm Park.
A woman has reported that a substance was sprayed into her eyes as she was robbed of her bag on Upper Rainham Road/ Elm Park Avenue, on Friday afternoon.
The shocking incident happened just before 4pm and is now a police investigation.
A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:
“Police were called at 15:43 on Friday 28 March to reports of a robbery on Upper Rainham Road / Elm Park Avenue, Elm Park.
Officers attended and London Ambulance Service and found a woman reporting a substance had sprayed in her eyes and her bag stolen. Officers provided initial first aid to the woman followed by London Ambulance Service and she was taken to hospital.
Our investigation has commenced and no arrests have been made.”
