Why Women Support Women Except When They Are Police Officers.
British Transport Officer mocked and ridiculed for her actions and just how wrong it is.
A female PCSO has been the subject of endless derogatory comments after a short social media clip showed her walking away from an aggressive male. The British Transport Officer has been under fire because she walked away from the male and then ridiculed because of her actions.
Once again, we are only able to see a short clip of the actual incident and from this, the usual armchair crusaders have deemed it appropriate to hurl abuse and mockery at her.
Police Community Support Officers do not have any form of protective equipment, except for a stab proof vest. The officer was calling for support and not running in fear, but taking the correct necessary steps. The suspect could have been armed with weapons and we do not know what had transpired before the clip filmed. The officer was on her own and cannot rely on members of the public for support as sadly in today’s culture due to the endless police negativity daily, it often does not come. Fortunately, in this incident security staff and the public did intervene and support the officer.
What is also very disheartening is that there are many organisations that support women, where have they been to call out the abuse this officer faced? Does she not count because she is a member of the police? Of course it would have given our typing trolls whose sole purpose on social media is to attack police officers, the best opportunity to place a much loved emoji of a pig’s face or even reference Peppa Pig. Believe it or not this is actually how grown, supposedly educated individuals behave, especially women who should be supporting other women.
This officer has chosen to do a vital job in our community during a time when police officers are one of the most disliked and abused professions in our society. Instead of acknowledging and appreciating that people are working as PCSO’s, we mock her.
There is a growing disrespect for our laws. This officer handled a potentially dangerous situation to the best of her ability at that time. Once again, for those that were not there to fully understand the incident, why mock?
Women face difficult times, even more so as police officers. Isn’t it time women begin to support all women including police officers?
Well done to this officer.
