Ukrainian Boy Meets Havering Mayor As Flag Raised Over The Town Hall.

On the 3rd anniversary of the Ukraine invasion by Russia, Tim, a boy from Kiev, met the Mayor of Havering, Councillor Gerry O Sullivan.

Tim not only had the chance to meet Havering’s Mayor, but also took part in a ceremony to mark the event on Monday morning at the Town Hall.

The rain cleared away and the sun shone on the flag raising ceremony as cross party councillors joined in the flag raising event.
Tim, felt “very proud” to be involved and enjoyed taking part in the ceremony as he proudly wore the Ukraine Scout scarf.
A student at St Peter’s school in Romford and a member of 6th Romford Scouts Group he said he was glad his school, let him have time off to attend as he dragged himself away from the Town Hall to return to the classroom …. In time for lunch!
