Upminster Windmill Seeks Volunteers To Help Preserve Local Heritage Site.

Upminster Windmill, one of Havering’s most iconic historical landmarks, is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join its dedicated team. Whether you have a passion for history, enjoy engaging with the public, or simply want to contribute to your local community, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a truly unique and rewarding project.

With a range of volunteer roles available, including site guides, educational outreach, and retail and refreshments, there’s something for everyone, no matter your skills or experience. Volunteers play a vital role in keeping this historic windmill running, helping visitors learn about its fascinating past and ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy and appreciate this special site.

To learn more and get involved, Upminster Windmill is hosting a Volunteer Recruitment Day on Saturday 1st March- 12pm to 4pm. This session, held at Upminster Windmill in the Visitors Centre, offer the perfect chance to meet the team, explore the different volunteer roles, and sign up to be part of this exciting initiative.
