Police And Firefighters Rush To Upminster After 60 Year Old Man Seen Walking On Building Roof.

Police and firefighters were called to Station Lane in Upminster yesterday afternoon after reports of a man seen walking on a roof.

The 60 year old man was believed to have been reported missing to police earlier and was rescued off the roof by firefighters with a crane ladder and taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily:

“Police investigating a missing person were directed at around 12:48 on Tuesday 21 January to reports of a man on a roof, Station Lane Upminster.

Officers attended and with the assistance of London Fire Brigade the incident was concluded safely with a 60 year old man conveyed to hospital via London Ambulance Service for treatment.

Road closures were in place for safety reasons during the incident and were re-opened.

Thank you to the local community for their patience during this incident.”
