Havering Police Officers Embark In A Collier Row Day Of Action.

A 15 year old boy was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and this remains an ongoing investigation.

Officers from Havering’s Safer Neighbourhood teams joined forces with new student constables on the Street Duties programme together with the local authority and drug detection dog in a high visibility operation on Wednesday 8 January.  The team patrolled busy areas, stopping and searching a number of individuals.

During the deployment a 15 year old boy was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and this remains an ongoing investigation.

Havering North Safer Neighbourhoods Acting Inspector Jayshree Patel told the Havering Daily:
“Havering Safer Neighbourhood officers from the North Cluster carried out a joint proactive operation with the local council and it’s drugs dog in Harold Hill, Collier Row and Hornchurch. The teams patrolled hotspot locations tackling anti-social behaviour and drug problems. They conducted a number of weapon sweeps, stop and searches as well engaging with members of the community with the view to restore trust and confidence.”
