Once again, we thank you all for your support.
Together, we have not only been a voice, but also ‘hands on’ to do our very best in accessing the care every animal so rightly deserves.
Thank you all for walking this path with us.
We could not do what we do without the support and guidance of South Essex Wildlife Hospital (who have not once, turned an animal away) also Hillpark Vets and Tyndale vets who are always just a phone call away.
We must also mention the love and support from fellow wildlife rescue groups, individuals and organisations who are also dedicated to helping animals in need.
We are truly blessed to have such special people within our network. Not forgetting our families who have put up with us running out at a minutes notice, rushing dinners, special occasions and organising our lives around Harold Hill Deer Aid. We thank you for your patience and understanding 🙏
Outside of the 2024 summary which Mick Hockley has kindly provided month by month are countless calls, messages, videos, shouts across fields, door knocks and every which way you can imagine to respond to.
Not to forget our fundraising events, (The Deer’s Rest ) the community support, there’s just way too much to mention.
We never dreamt that the services we volunteer would become so needed. For us now, Harold Hill Deer Aid is deeply embedded in our lives.
At times it can be extremely stressful, especially with some of the sights we see on a regular basis but… just that one rescue or release back to the wild brings back home the reasons as to why we became involved in the first place.
We look forward to 2025, a new chapter !!
