Armed Police Swift Arrest In Collier Row As Man Enters Pub With Air Rifle.

Armed Police officers attended Colley-Rowe Inn JD Wetherspoons pub on Collier Row Lane, after a man entered the pub with an air rifle.

The incident happened just after 3pm as residents watched on shock as officers removed the large weapon from the male and arrested him.

A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily:

Police were called at approximately 15:20 on Friday, 13 December after a member of the public called to report they’d seen a man in possession of a firearm close to a pub in Collier Row Road, Romford.

Officers, including armed officers, attended the scene and the man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm – he remains in custody.

At this early stage it is believe the weapon was an air rifle but enquiries are ongoing to confirm this.
