Four men in Elm Park were arrested after they were found to be dealing drugs at a table in a fast food restaurant.

Police were called at 16:43 on 9 November to reports of drug dealing at a table in a fast food premise, on Station Parade.

Local Safer Neighbourhood Officers from Elm Park and Hylands and Harrow Lodge wards promptly attended and found four men at tables within the premises.  Officers completed searches of the men resulting in Class B drugs being found and evidence of drug dealing.  A further bag containing Class B drugs was found discarded.

A 21 year old man and a 19 year old man were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.  This investigation is ongoing.

Sergeant Andrew Meredith from Havering’s Safer Neighbourhood team told the Havering Daily: “Criminal behaviour like this blights a local area, leading to anti-social behaviour and causing local people to feel intimidated.

“That is why officers respond to information received and, as can be seen here, take action where evidence of criminal activity is found.”

This week is Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness week. We hope more people who are victims of crime and anti-social behaviour will come forward to report to police via www.met.police.uk but always dial 999 in an emergency, or contact police anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
