Romford Theatre Looking for Performers To Join Them In Their Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Production.

Award-winning Brookside Theatre, Romford is looking for performers who join them in their next exciting production, Roald Dahl’s Charlie and The Chocolate Factory this December.

The theatre is seeking talented performers of various ages to join them in the magical musical. Roles available for adult performers include Mrs Teavee, Mr Salt, Mrs Bucket, Mr Beauregarde and Oompa Loompas whilst roles for young performers include Mike Teavee, Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregarde and the lead role of Charlie Bucket.

Speaking about the role of ‘Charlie’, Harri Sepple, one of the directors of the production said “We’re searching for someone with not just talent, but the ability to truly capture the wonder and innocence of Charlie Bucket. This is a golden ticket for a young performer to shine in a major role, and we can’t wait to see the talent Havering has to offer.”” 

The role of Charlie Bucket is open to boys aged 8 – 12.

Rehearsals begin in November, with performances 6th – 23rd December 2024

This production will be a major highlight of Havering’s cultural calendar, offering young performers a chance to gain invaluable experience and work with seasoned theatre professionals.
