Traffic police operation sees man arrested for no insurance and found with large quantity of drugs in vehicle.
A man was found driving with no insurance in a vehicle containing a large quantity of drugs in Harold Hill last week.
On Friday 11 October, officers from East Area took part in Operation Cubo-a traffic operation to detect and deter crime, targeting drivers with no insurance to make our roads safer.
Officers targeted on Straight Road in Harold Hill. Specialist Traffic officers supported East Area’s new student officers.
A total of 32 vehicles were stopped including the vehicle of a 31 year old man who after being stopped by officers, admitted he had no insurance. A further investigation into his vehicle found he was carrying a large quantity of drugs.
The man has subsequently been charged.
