Nicola Simmons from the friends of Harold Wood Parks Team said: “Massive Thank you to our local Neighbourhood police team and especially to PC Russ Harley for giving our local children the opportunity to be a part of this important initiative. We were determined that our local children were able to gain the benefits of free sports sessions in our park during the summer holidays by funding the costs. The police team were outstanding with their interaction with the children and the local parents and guardians, feedback both on the day and after the events was so positive. Initiatives like this provide children with a healthy activity whilst building on an even healthier relationship with police. Healthy, respectful and happy children is what we are striving for – they are our future!!”
