L&Q Housing apologise for broken lifts as local Councillors and MP step into help.
Dagenham and Rainham MP Margaret Mullane has been working with Beam Park Councillors Matt Stanton and Trevor McKeever urging L&Q Housing to repair the two broken lifts at Duxbury House.
On Monday 7 October, one of the two lifts was repaired and back working.
L&Q Housing have apologised to residents and released the following statement:
David Lewis,Executive Group Director for Property Services at L&Q, said:
“We apologise for the inconvenience and delay in repairing the lifts at Duxbury House. Resident safety is our top priority and our team responded promptly to reports of the faults. As of Monday 7 October, one of the two lifts has been working, however, we have had to wait an unusually long time for a part to become available for the other lift.We recognise this is unacceptable and we are offering additional support to residents with health and mobility issues.”
