Kai Hazell, 22, of Alibon Road, Dagenham has been charged with two counts of possession of an offensive weapon and common assault of an emergency worker

This charge is related to yesterday’s incident where a motorcycle was stopped by police on Rosslyn Road, Barking. During the incident, one of the officers received an injury to his eye.

Two knives were recovered.

He will next appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court on Friday, 1 November.
