Officer injured after arresting a male armed with two knives.

An officer has been injured today after a chasing down a man armed with two knives.

The incident happened in Barking when the officers signalled a motorbike to stop. The rear passenger on the bike fled but was subsequently caught after a foot chase.

When searching the man, two knives were found on him.

During the arrest, one of the officers was injured.

We wish them better and hope they make a swift recovery.

Well done to these officers for removing more dangerous weapons off our street. Once again this goes to highlight the dangers officers face everyday doing their job.
