London News: Man living in Dagenham charged with murder.

A man appeared in court yesterday charged with the murder of Billy Keegan in Ilford.

Muhamed Nur Osman, 30, of Knight Close, Dagenham appeared on Monday, 7 October at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court charged with murder and ABH.

Police were called around 01.05 on Friday, 4 October to reports of a stabbing in Chapel Road, Ilford.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found 50-year-old Billy Keegan suffering from a stab injury in the corridor of a block of flats.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, Billy was pronounced dead at 01:30hrs.

The investigation is being led by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

Three men were arrested shortly after on suspicion of murder. They were later released no further action. 

Osman was arrested on Saturday, 5 October on suspicion of murder. He was later charged as above.
