Health and Safety Executive called after man dies after being struck by a pallet in Rainham.
Emergency Services rushed to New Road, in Rainham to help two men injured by a pallet that had fallen from a height.
Sadly, despite the best efforts by medics, including the air ambulance crew, one man in his 40s died.
A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:
“Police were called at 13:41 on Monday, 5 August to Suttons Business Park on New Road in Rainham following reports of two people injured.
Officers and London’s Air Ambulance attended. Despite the efforts of emergency services, sadly a man, aged in his late 40s, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The second person was taken to hospital for treatment.
At this stage, it is believed that both people were struck by a pallet/crate.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.”
