BREAKING: Man charged with rape and non fatal strangulation following Romford park attack.

A man has been charged with offences including rape following an incident at Raphael’s Park last week.

 Romario Banya, 21, of no fixed address was charged with rape, assault causing actual bodily harm and non-fatal strangulation.  He will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 15 July.

 On Thursday 11 July, police received a report of a rape at Raphael’s Park, Main Road, Romford.  Officers attended and a crime scene was put in place. 

 The victim continues to be supported by specially trained officers.
