‘I’m so grateful to the people of Romford for electing me as their MP again’-Andrew Rosindell wins seventh term.

“This is a very proud moment for me to be elected the Member of Parliament for Romford for the seventh time. I am very proud to be the MP for Romford as I am from Romford.”

Following a long and tense night of counting, Andrew Rosindell has regained his seat as the Conservative MP for Romford.

The results were called just after 4am today with Mr Rosindell winning by 15, 339 votes compared to Labour with 13,876, and Reform UK with 9,624.

Mr Rosindell admitted that it had been one of the hardest battles he had fought to regain his seat and had understood why people had voted Reform.

“I want to bring Reform and the Conservative party together as I do not want a Labour Government for more than one term,” he added.

Two weeks ago Mr Rosindell gave a speech outside of Margaret Thatcher House where he vowed he would not, eat, sleep or rest until he had won his seat. This morning he added: “I have barely eaten and had no rest, but tonight it has been proven worthwhile as we have won the seat with a much smaller majority. However, I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the people in my home town.”
